Assam Cooperative Societies Rules, 1952.

These Rules make further provision for the formation, registration, operation and management of cooperative societies and to provide special rules with respect to various categories of cooperative societies.
The Rules provide for: registration of Cooperative Societies; rights and liabilities of members of registered societies; management and operation of registered societies; duties and privileges of registered societies; property and funds of registered societies; audit; inquiry and inspection; settlement of disputes; dissolution of registered societies; etc.
The Rules also contain Schedules providing, among other things, for forms of application for the registration of cooperative societies, forms of certificate of registration, form of the mortgage deed; form for the register of mortgages; form for the return of audit fees; etc.
