Abstract
This Act makes provisions for exemption from certain approvals, and inspections for establishment and operation of the micro, small and medium enterprises in the State of Assam.
The Act empowers the State Government to set up an Investor Facilitation Agency at State Level called the Nodal Agency. The powers and functions of the Nodal Agency shall include: ( a) to assist and facilitate establishment of enterprises in the State; and (b) to maintain the records of Declaration of Intent received and Acknowledgment Certificate issued under this Act.
The Act further provides for: effect of the acknowledgement certificate; exemption; power to remove difficulties; etc.
