Abstract
This Act amends the Factories Act, 1948 (No. 63 of 1948) (Factories Act) and other laws in its application to the state of Chhattisgarh. Section 92 of the Factories Act is amended. After section 92, new sections 92A and 92B relating to compoundable offences are added. Section 106 is amended. After the Third Schedule of the Factories Act, a new Fourth Schedule is added which contains a list of the compoundable offences, which includes, not providing and maintaining arrangements for drinking water and canteen, denial of rights of workers and charging workers for any facilities to be provided under law.
