Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Amendment Rules, 2017.

These Rules amend the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Rules, 1988 (principal Rules). In the short title of principal Rules, the words Child Labour is substituted by the words Child and Adolescent Labour. The definitions of Act and Committee are substituted and new definitions are added including for the terms Fund and Inspector. New Rule 2A is added after Rule 2 of the principal Act, for creating awareness on prohibition of employment of child and adolescents. Rules 2B and 2C are added in respect of children helping family and child artists. Rule 16A is added to provide payment to child or adolescent out of the Child and Adolescent Labour Rehabilitation Fund. New provisions relating to filing complaint, duties of magistrate and inspectors, and inspection and monitoring are added.
