Abstract
These Rules shall carry out the provisions of the Coastal Aquaculture Authority Act. They consist of 5 Chapters divided into 15 rules, of 3 Forms and 1 Annex.
Chapter II provides for guidelines for regulating coastal aquaculture in order to ensure orderly and sustainable development of shrimp aquaculture in the country (Annex 1). Chapters III and IV provide for terms and conditions regarding the Chairperson and Authority members, functions of the Authority, and powers and functions of the one man Authority. Chapter V deals with the following matters: registration of coastal aquaculture farms and fees; renewal of registrations and fees; preparation of budgets; annual reports; etc.
