Abstract
These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4) read with subsection (1) and (2) of section 45 of the Food Corporations Act, 1964 (37 of 1964). They make provisions in respect of meetings of the Board such as time and place of meetings, power to call meetings, notice of meetings and the quorum. They require recording of business transacted by the Board. Provisions for meetings of the Executive Committee are laid down which include notice and quorum for the meetings, voting and recording of decisions. Further, regulations for meetings of committees other than the Executive Committee are also given. The fees for travelling and daily allowance are stipulated. The Managing Director can exercise the powers of Chairman during vacancy in office of Chairman and vice-versa.
