Abstract
These Regulations provide that the sample of any imported article will be sent to the food analyst of any of the laboratories notified by Food Authority under section 43(1) of Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. It also lays down the functions of the referral food laboratory including analysis of samples of food, investigation, capacity building etc.
The Regulations further provide for the procedures for submission to the laboratories of samples of articles of food for analysis or tests, the forms of the laboratory's reports thereon and the fees payable in respect of such reports.
