Gujarat Irrigation and Drainage (Amendment) Act, 2019 (Act No. 15 of 2019).

This Act amends the Gujarat Irrigation and Drainage Act, 2013 in as much as it substitutes section 37 relating to penalty for damaging canal and section 38 relating to penalty for endangering stability of canal. The key difference is that the new provisions set out different penalties for different kinds of offences committed instead of the same penalty provided for earlier in each section respectively.
