Abstract
This Order, consisting of 15 sections and four Schedules, establishes the requirements to be satisfied in order to produce, process and sell animal species specified below; Ovines; Caprines; Swines; Bovines; and poultry. The Central Government shall constitute a Committee to be called Meat Food Products Advisory Committee. No person shall carry on business as a manufacturer except under and in accordance with the terms and conditions of a licence granted under this Order. Every application for the grant of a licence shall be made in Form A set out in the First Schedule and shall be accompanied by the payment of the fees as specified in sub-clause (3). This Order establishes three categories of manufacturers as specified in column (2) of the Table and the licence fee payable by each category of manufacturer are specified in the corresponding column of the said Table. It establishes the requirements to be satisfied by the licensee. No meat food product shall contain any of the poisonous metals specified in column (2) of the Table below in excess of the quantity specified in the corresponding entry in column (3).
