Notification S.O. 5495(E) of 2022 amending the Coastal Regulation Zone Notification, 2019.

This Notification amends the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) Notification, 2019. In sub-paragraph 5.1.2 of paragraph 5, relating to permissible activities in CRZ-I Zone, clause (xx) is added. Sub-paragraph (ii) of paragraph 7 is substituted which deals with development activities or projects in CRZ-I and CRZ-IV areas. Sub-paragraphs (i) and (ii) of paragraph 8 relating to the procedure for CRZ clearance for permissible and regulated activities are amended. Clause (iii) of sub-paragraph 10.2 of paragraph 10 relating to Integrated Island Management Plans is substituted. Sub-paragraph 10.4 is added after sub-paragraph 10.3 which requires removal of sand bars in the CRZ by traditional coastal communities only through a non-mechanised manual method.
