Abstract
These Rules are enacted in accordance with the West Bengal Animal Slaughter Control Act 1950.
No animal in respect of which a certificate has been issued shall be slaughtered at a place other than the municipal slaughter house maintained by the Commissioner of a municipality within the municipal areas concerned. The Rules further make provisions for: application for certificate, form of certificate, fee for certificate, branding of animal fit for slaughter, control of slaughter of animals by veterinary officers, offences and penalties, etc.
