Decree No.1 of 2015 Internal regulations of the Environmental Police Department

The decree establishes the rules of procedure for the Department of Environmental Police. The following missions shall be carried out by the Department of Environmental Police: (i) implementation of judgments, judicial and administrative decisions issued by the Ministry of Environment; (ii) providing protection for natural habitats and protected areas; (ii) providing necessary protection to the control teams of the Ministry of Environment; (iv) receiving complaints; (v) exercising judicial control in the field of environmental crime; (vi) contributing to the detection of environmental pollutants in cases of natural disasters; (vii) raising environmental awareness among citizens; and (viii) supervising the circulation of dual-use chemicals.
