Abstract
This Act consisting of 14 articles divided in IV Sections aims at regulating controls on food.

In case of lack of national health specifications, the competent authority shall adopt Arab or international specifications issued by the specialized organizations. The Minister composes an advisory body for food in charge for controlling production, distribution and consumption of food.
The Act bans sale and trading of food when: it is harmful to public health or corrupt or decomposed or damaged or adulterated; processed by methods or unsanitary conditions or in unlabeled packaging; or sold in places where trading is prevented by the competent authority. It deals also with: inspections, analysis, confiscations and destructions of deteriorated food; health certificate and quarantine license.
