Law establishing the Agricultural Supplies Company (No. 19 of 1996).

This Company shall aim at securing agricultural requirements for plant and animal production and organize trade in such requirements. The Company shall have legal personality and be administratively and financially independent. Agricultural requirements are means of production including seeds and planting material. The General Body shall be the supreme authority of the company but the company shall be managed on a day-to-day basis by a Board of Directors. The Company shall construct storage facilities in different places in Iraq according to a fixed programme and shall cooperate with local producing authorities. It shall open branches in various regions of Iraq for the selling of agricultural equipment. (18 sections divided into 4 chapters)
