Law No. 73 of 2001 amending the Law on the protection and improvement of the environment.

Article 1 of this Law repeals the first paragraph of article 3 of Law No. 3 of 1997. It changes the composition of the membership of the Council for the protection and improvement of the environment. Article 2 of this Law repeals the first paragraph of article 6 of Law No. 3 of 1997. This article modifies the duties of the Council. Article 3 of this Law repeals article 8 of Law No. 3 of 1997 and insert the membership of a representative of Baath Arab Socialist party. The Law contains other amendments concerning the duties of regional councils and add some changes to the penalty fees.
