Resolution No. 193 of 1994 promulgating Law No. 24 of 1994 on the Planning Body.

An institution named the Planning Body shall be created and attached to the Council of Ministers. This institution shall exercise the following tasks: propose overall sectoral economic and social policies; fix the indicators for the National Development Plans; prepare the National Development Plans and supervise their implementation; monitor and evaluate economic development; give opinions on proposed legislation related to economic development; lay down strategies for regional development; and decide on matters regarding planning and coordination projects and integrated development programmes within the limits of its competence (sect. 1). The institution shall have various departments and shall be guided by a director. (8 articles)
