Abstract
The Law, which consists of 5 articles, aims to centralize all duties and responsibilities regarding agricultural sectors in the Ministry of Agriculture.
According to the Law, the Ministry of Agriculture shall undertake all duties and powers relating to policy making, implementing, planning and monitoring of agricultural sectors which previously have been undertaken by the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade. Agricultural matters include farming, gardening, cultivation of medicinal plants (herbs), animal husbandry, birds, aquaculture and other relevant industries. Duties of the Ministry of Agriculture also include importation and exportation of crops as well as control of domestic agricultural market.
