Abstract
This Regulation consisting of 12 articles, is the Executive Regulation of the Law on the Development of Tourism Industry of 29 September 1991.
To attract foreign tourists, the Act obliges Iranian Embassies and Consular Offices to issue the tourism visas for applicants in maximum of 10 days. The Act provides a list of allowed personal goods which foreign tourists may have with them entering or leaving the country.
Entering the country with personal vehicle requires the permit of the Tourism Association of the state parties to the “Customs Convention on the Temporary Importation of Private Road Vehicles” (New York, 1954).
Each foreign tourist may carry one or two Iranian carpets, maximum of 12 sq., and up to maximum 3 kilos of sealed caviar.
