Abstract
This Regulation implements EEA/EU rules permitting the use of lactic acid to reduce microbiological contamination on the surface of bovine carcasses, establishes oversight by the Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority and municipal health committees, and provides that breaches are sanctioned under Icelandic food law.
