Regulation No. 646/2020 on the organisation and operation of the Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority.

This Regulation sets out the organisation and operation of the Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority (Matvælastofnun), including its headquarters in Selfoss, the Director General’s leadership role, internal divisions, district offices, border inspection stations, annual planning and reporting duties. It reduces the Authority’s districts from six to four, and requires the transition to be completed by 2021.
