Decree of the President of the Region No. 336 implementing article 2, paragraph 1 of Regional Act No. 33 of 1996 in matter of animal reproduction.

The present Decree has been adopted by the President of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region in compliance with article 2, paragraph 1 of Regional Act No. 33 of 1996 which provides for the adoption at regional level of a Regulation in order to implement Act No. 30 of 1991 on animal reproduction. The text of the Regulation is attached to this Decree and constitutes an integral part of it. In particular, it lays down the conditions applicable to natural mounting of the bovine, ovine, swine, caprine and equine species, both in the private and public sectors (arts. 2 to 6). Stockbreeders must previously obtain the authorization hereby required. Article 7 deals in particular with semen reproduction centres, which may be established only upon prior issuance of an authorization. Article 10 refers to the requirements to be met by veterinarians wishing to carry out artificial insemination. Article 12, on the other side, regards embryo production centres. Further provisions regard the collection of relevant data (art. 15) and inspection (art. 16).
