Law 23 December 2021, No. 238 concerning the fulfillment of the obligations arising from Italy's membership of the European Union - Law 2019-2020.

The Law is organised in 7 Headings and 48 Articles and implements provisions aimed and fulfill the obligations arising from Italy's membership of the European Union. In particular Art. 10 amends in several sections Legislative Decree No. 50 of 2016 concerning public contracts and procurement procedures for water, energy sector, transport and postal services providers. Heading VI regulates consumer protection provisions and contains obligations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (Art 35) and Art. 36 amends Legislative Decree 9 June 2020, No. 47, concerning European system for the trading of greenhouse gas emission quotas. Art. 38 contains provisions on the calculation methodology to be used for determining the energy produced by biofuels and bioliquids.
