Abstract
The Ministry of Health will authorize the placing on the market and the utilization within the national territory of biocidal products. The authorization is granted for a maximum of ten years. In terms of article 4 low risk biocidal products may be placed on the market as long as they are registered. Italy will recognize the authorization of a biocidal product already authorized in another Member State. Further the Decree sets out the requirements to be fulfilled in order to obtain an authorization. The responsible authority will perform periodical checks on biocidal products placed on the market.
