Legislative Decree No. 193 implementing Directive 2004/28/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Directive 2001/82/EC on the Community code relating to veterinary medicinal products.

Pursuant to Directive 2004/28/EC, this Legislative Decree lays down provisions applicable to veterinary medicinal products and their placing on the market. The application scope includes veterinary medicinal products and premixes for medicated feedingstuffs, intended to be placed on the market and prepared industrially or by a method involving an industrial process. The Legislative Decree defines the procedure for obtaining the authorization required to place on the market such products.
