Abstract
The production of feed supplements must be authorized by the Ministry of Health under certain conditions covering: (a) the requirements of authorized establishments; (b) the qualifications of the personnel; (c) the hygiene requirements of the establishments and of the equipment employed; (d) the periodical checks on the quality and characteristics of the animal feeds. Other provisions concern the packaging and labelling of the products. The supply of feeds to animal breeders is subject to the prescription of the veterinarian and must be performed only by a pharmacist, the producer or other distributor authorized by the Ministry of Health. The provisions of this Decree apply also to feed supplements originating from third countries. Contraventions to the provisions of the Decree shall be punishable according to article 16.
