Abstract
The Ministerial Decree provides for the establishments of the Scientific Commission within the Ministry of Environment for the application of the Washington Convention. The Decree provides for its composition and duties (Annex 1); these include recommendation on import and export permits and certificates, controls the status of the Italian endangered species, verify the current measures in place aimed at protecting those species, etc. Organizational structure and processes are to be establish through Ministerial Decree.
