Ministerial Decree determining the systems for the treatment of materials with a high risk of contamination in implementation of the provisions of Legislative Decree of 14 December 1992, No. 508, implementing Council Directive No. 90/667/CEE of 27 November 1990, on the disposal, processing and placing on the market of waste of animal origin and the protection from pathogenic agents of feedstuffs of animal origin and fish-based feed and amending Directive No. 90/425/CEE.

The present Decree regulates the analyses and tests to be carried out for the proper treatment of material with a high risk of contamination, for the purpose of implementing the provisions of Legislative Decree No. 508 of 1992. It is followed by one Annex, divided into seven chapters, containing a detailed description of the different treatments to be carried out on such materials. Annex 2 contains a specimen of the form, with information regarding the treatment, to be submitted every year to the competent local health unit (USL).
