Ministerial Decree laying down the Plan on protection of water resources for the year 2003.

With a view to achieving the balance between fish stocks in particular (and marine biological resources in general) and fishing efforts, the present Decree lays down a protection plan applicable to certain fishing areas. Trawling fishing is hereby interrupted and hence shall be prohibited during the periods and in the districts specified in the Decree. Further zones of biological protection shall be set up as established by article 7 and in accordance with article 98 of Presidential Decree No. 1639 of 1968.
