Presidential Decree No. 470 implementing Directive (EEC) No. 76/160 concerning the quality of bathing water

The present Decree has been enacted in implementation of Directive 76/160/EEC which lays down rules in matter of bathing water quality. In particular, this Decree establishes physical, chemical and microbiological parameters to be fulfilled by bathing water. Articles 3 to 5 define the competences which are hereby entrusted to the Central Government, the Regions and the Communes as regards the application of these provisions. The Central Government is empowered to carry out the coordination of the activities provided for in this Decree.
