Abstract
This Presidential Decree concerns measures for the protection against zoonoses. Zoonosis means any disease or infection which is likely to be naturally transmitted from animals to man (art. 1). The Ministry of Health will collect information on the incidence of specified zoonoses in animals and man and report each year trends, sources of infection and measures adopted to the Commission. The Ministry of Health shall also set plans for the control of salmonella in poultry. Annex I lists types of zoonoses, Annex II the criteria to be followed for the check of salmonella in poultry and under Annex III are set the rules for the control of salmonellosis.(10 articles and 4 Annexes)
