Abstract
The aim pursued by this Provincial Act is the protection of the ecosystem and the prevention of the thinning out of certain fauna species. The Act consists of 11 articles. Article 2 prohibits the destruction of ants nests as well as taking their eggs and larvs. However, the Forestry Inspectorate may authorize the collecting of nests, eggs and larvs of ants exclusively for scientific and educational purposes (art. 3). Furthermore, article 4 prohibits the marketing of nests, larvs and eggs of ants. Article 5 regards the protection of certain amphibians as well as snails. It prohibits their capture during certain periods and establishes the maximum quantity that may be harvested when the capture is permitted. Articles 6 and 7 concern controls and penalties respectively.
