Regional Act No. 17 setting up the regional register of cattle and farming enterprises.

With a view to arranging an identification and registration system, the present Regional Act provides for the creation of a Regional Register of bovines, ovines, caprines, swines and equines under the Regional Counsel of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources. Article 2 of the Act lays down the duty of farmers to register their enterprises and animals. In particular, article 3 regulates the modalities for registering animals; article 4 deals with animal marking. The technical commission established under article 7 shall be in charge of the implementation of these provisions.
