Regional Act No. 38 on organic agriculture.

This Act has been adopted by the Molise Region with a view to strengthening and promoting organic agricultural production, in order to ensure the protection of human health and the environment. Organic agriculture is defined by referring to Regulation (EEC) No. 2092/91. Operators involved in organic agricultural production shall be included in a special list kept by the agricultural council. Such operators shall be subjected to inspections. Organic agricultural products shall be placed on the market in accordance with the packaging and presentation provisions established by article 8. Further provisions regard organic producers’ organizations (art. 10), incentives (art. 11) and penalties (art. 13).
