Abstract
In implementation of article 9 of Directive 79/409/EEC and by way of derogation from provisions in force in matter of hunting and wildlife protection, this Regional Act allows, under certain conditions, the hunting of specific bird species, having regard to the need to prevent significant and permanent damages to agricultural production. Therefore, the species defined by the two Annexes attached may be hunted, provided that hunters interested are registered in the territorial hunting areas or alpine districts of the Veneto Region. The hunting gear described by article 13 of Act No. 157 of 1992 may be used. Further conditions concern the total allowable catch, which is referred to the whole hunting season. Inspection functions are entrusted to the Provinces. In case of violation of these provisions, the penalties laid down in Act No. 157 of 1992 as well as Regional Act No. 50 of 9 December 1993 shall be applied.
