The Agricultural Produce (Amendment) Act, no. 19 of 2023.

This Act amends the Agricultural Produce Act. Amendments concern: insertion of the following new definitions: agricultural produce, including poultry; aquaculture; certificate of registration; production of crops and livestock for commercial purposes; fish, including: the whole or part of any aquatic animal or plant, molluscs, crustaceans, coral, sponge, echinoderms, reptiles, marine mammals and related products and by-products; indigenous herbs and spices; marine products; vegetables and fruits; contracts. Further amendments concern: restriction on engaging in the trade or business of growing or rearing agricultural produce; application and procedure for licensing and registration; repealing and replacement of various sections; powers of inspectors; definition of offences and penalties.
