Abstract
This Act amends the Consumer Protection Act with respect to matters of the Consumer Protection Commission and its power to carry out investigations on breaches of consumer protection rules and to initiate legal proceedings under this Act on behalf of the complainant. It also specifies obligations for providers of goods and services and establishes a Consumer Protection Tribunal. The Tribunal shall hear and determine matters referred to it pursuant to section 44 of the principal Act and for that purpose may exercise the functions set out in this Act.
