Protection of Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (Amendment) Act No. 4 of 2019.

This Act amends the definition of the Management Authority in the Principal Act and defines as the Research and Development Division of the Ministry responsible for agriculture or such other entity designated by the Minister. Section 5 of the Principal Act is repealed. This Act makes several minor changes regarding the establishment and functions of the Advisory Task Force. The First Schedule of the Principal Act is amended by adding Subparagraph 2 to the Paragraph 1 regarding the responsibility of the Advisory Task Force to advise the Minister on matters of policy and legal measures that provide for the conservation and sustainable use of plant genetic resources and the equitable sharing of the benefits arising out of their use.
