Abstract
This Directive is composed of 33 articles. Articles 1 and 2 deal with terms and definitions. Article 3 decrees the prohibition to import, export, produce and circulate of vegetable seeds before a previous registration at the Ministry of Agriculture. Articles 4 and 5 define firms and companies authorized to operate with the aforementioned activities as well as requirements and conditions for the issuance of licences. Article 6 lists names and quantities of unregistered species that can import only as samples not for sale. Article 12 defines requirements for samples. Article 13 indicates documents to be provided with seed consignments. Article 16 illustrates requirements and conditions for the importation of onions by wholesale dealers. Article 23 deals with conditions and requirements for the exportation of seeds. Article 24 deals with conditions and requirements for places and shops selling planting materials and seeds. Articles 27 and 28 deal with seed packages and labels. Article 32 contains offences and penalties.
