Regulation No. 3/G of 2013 on the import, export and trade of Agricultural seed crops.

This Regulation provides for the import, export, and trade of agricultural seed crops according to the Agricultural Law No. 44 of 2002. It is composed of 33 articles and It sets forth some definitions used in the provisions of this Regulation. Article 3 prohibits the trade or the production of quantities of vegetable seeds for commercial use unless the varieties are registered in the Ministry of Agriculture. Article 4 authorizes only specific companies and sectors stated in this article to import agricultural seeds. Article 5 sets forth the conditions to be followed for the registration of the previously stated sectors for the trade of seeds. Article 6 allows the importing of unregistered seed varieties for commercial and non-commercial use according to some conditions. The Regulation addresses the examination and testing the agricultural seeds have to go through whether imported or locally produced. It also provides for the documents needed and the sampling requirements for the registration process of the seeds.
