Instructions for health certificates accompanying food consignments of 2022, issued pursuant to the provisions of Article (8/b) of the Food Law No.30 of 2015 and Article (7/k) of the Food and Drug General Corporation Law No.41 of 2008.

Abstract
These Instructions consisting of 11 articles are issued by the Ministry of Health and are applied to imported foodstuffs, in a manner that does not conflict with the instructions issued by the Ministry of Agriculture in this regard. Article 4 establishes that the health certificate is considered one of the mandatory health documents accompanying the consignments (exceptions are dealt with in article 9 which provides for (inspection and examination of the consignment according to the tests prescribed for the food). The details concerning the certificate are the object of article 5. The cases of inadmissibility of the certificate are set for in article 8. The Food and Drug Administration may verify the validity of the health certificate and its content in the manner it deems appropriate (art.10). Specific instructions, in addition to the present ones, must be applied in the event that the incoming consignment contains food additives and packaging materials intended for contact with food in their final form, for special use food, o for athletes' food.
