Instructions No. G/7 of 2016 - Instructions and Conditions for the use of wastewater, treated water, saltwater and brackish water for agricultural uses issued under Article 15/C of the Agriculture Law No.13 of 2015 and its amendments.

These Instructions consist of 27 articles. In particular: give rules for: obtaining from the Ministry of Agriculture a permit to use reclaimed wastewater for irrigating; list agriculture and crops that can be irrigated by reclaimed wastewater (treated). They ban: the irrigation use of untreated wastewater; aquaculture in reclaimed wastewater; the use of reclaimed wastewater for watering the animals; the transport of the reclaimed wastewater in tanks without obtaining a permit; the use of reclaimed wastewater for irrigating areas close to wells or other drinking water sources without previous analysis; the use of reclaimed wastewater to irrigate vegetables to eat raw; grazing in the field irrigated with treated wastewater. They also indicate when sprinkler irrigation is allowed; give watering times before harvest; give conditions and requirements for the use of treated wastewater for irrigation and warnings for consumers of products irrigated with treated wastewater.
The Instructions also deal with agriculture and crops that can be irrigated with saline water (salinity within the limits indicated in detail) and transport of this waters.
