Instructions No.G/1 of 2021 amending instructions and conditions for the use of waste and treated water, saline water and brackish water for agricultural uses under paragraph (c) of Article 15 of Agriculture Law No.13 of 2015 and its amendments.

These Instructions amend article 3 of 2006 as follows (a) Treated wastewater is not allowed to be used to irrigate restricted crops except after approval by the Minister of Water and Irrigation based on a recommendation from a technical committee formed in the Ministry of Water and Irrigation for this purpose; (b) The agreements issued by the Ministry of Water and Irrigation for the purpose of using treated water in the irrigation of restricted crops are considered as a license from the Ministry of Agriculture. They also amend article 4 by deleting paragraph (g) of item (2) thereof and replacing it with the following text: It is forbidden to use treated (reclaimed) wastewater to irrigate vegetables.
