Abstract
This Jordan Valley Authority's Implementation Plan is a sectoral document that incorporates the national and sectoral objectives indicated in the Strategic Plan for the years 2018 - 2020 for the organization of the JVA and the development of the Jordan Valley and exposes the individual programs or intervention actions by dividing them over the three years. The different executive goals under the Plan objectives are the following (i) develop surface water sources from dams and desert pits; (ii) find new sources of water from desalination; (iii) increase the use of irrigation with treated water to maintain the agricultural water share in the Jordan Valley; (iv) develop non-traditional water sources as a measure to adapt to climate change; (v) continue to analyze irrigation water, soil, plants and seeds; (vi) utilize Telemetric On-Line Analysis for the quality of reclaimed irrigation water, using 4 early warning stations; (vii) improve irrigation systems and networks and implement new projects; (viii) improve the efficiency of water transport, distribution and management systems; (ix) improve the tool of water users associations; (x) to implement bilateral agreements relating to Jordan's rights over shared regional waters; (xi) improve the level of services offered to users, also with capacity building and the creation of a better working environment for employees.
