Abstract
The purpose of this Law is to establish the Japan Water Resources Agency, which is an independent administrative agency and to regulate matters such as functions, internal organization, administration, purpose, scope of operations, etc. the Agency is the successor to the Water Resources Development Public Corporation. The Agency is the implementing organization of government policy on the supply of water for domestic, agricultural and industrial purposes. It shall be extensively involved in waterworks construction and maintenance, protection of water resources and the environment and disaster prevention and risk reduction.
