Abstract
These Rules regulate the canning of pineapples, set quality standards for pineapple to be canned and concern the control of the quality of canned pineapples. The 21 Rules are divided into 5 Parts.
All pineapples, intended for canning, shall be graded in accordance with these Rules by the grower or by the trader or society which sells the pineapples to the canning factory. Rule 5 sets out the grades of pineapples. Only pineapples that are graded and have a specified grade shall be processed in canning factories. The Rules further set out forms for (applications for) pineapple grower licences and canning factory licences to be granted under sections 9 or 20 of the Act Canning Crops Act and prescribe fees.
