Fisheries Management and Development (Recreational Fisheries) Regulations, Legal Notice no. 127 of 2024.

These Regulations, made under section 208 (2)(m) of the Fisheries Management and Development Act, apply to recreational fishing and recreational fishing related activities in Kenya fishery waters. Matters covered by these Regulations include: recreational fishing; protected area; sport fishing club; trolling, as a method of fishing where one or more fishing lines, baited with lures or bait fish are drawn through the water at a consistent low speed; application for a recreational fishing licence; conditions for recreational fishing, including payment of a defined fee to the respective county government; registration of recreational fishing vessels; conservation and management measures and prohibited activities; fishing gear restrictions.
