Abstract
These Regulations, made under section 101 of the Petroleum Act,These Regulations, made under section 101 of the Petroleum Act, apply to the quality of refined petroleum products and define the following relevant terms: adulterated product; Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority; Kenya Maritime Authority; competent person; Kenya Standard; licence; load port; National Environment Management Authority; oil marketing company; refined petroleum products; storage and loading depots; transit. The Regulations cover the following matters: quality of petroleum imported; compliance with requirements of Kenya Standard; sampling and testing of imported petroleum; marking of export petroleum; marking of petroleum for use in Kenya; duty to report any accident involving marine fuels non-compliant with the requirements of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships; offences and penalties.
