Abstract
These Regulations are made to give effect to the provisions of the Survey Act and they essentially allow for processes to be carried out through electronic means. The Regulations provide for an electronic cadaster to be maintained by the Director of Surveys, to serve as a module of the National Land Information System established in accordance with the Land Act, 2012. The Regulations provide that the Director may issue, through electronic means, a notice, certificate, instrument or document under the Survey Act, certify a map, plan, form, document or extract, amongst others. The Regulation further provides that prospective users who intend to access the electronic cadaster shall sign up with the system, a user may electronically access and download cadastral maps, cadastral plans or other plans on a read only format. The Regulations provide for the terms and conditions of the use of the electronic cadaster in the schedule
