The Tea (Levy) Regulations, Legal Notice no. 56 of 2026.

These Regulations, made by the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development under provisions of section 53(4) of the Tea Act, provide for: establishing imposition and exemption of the levy; defining the rate of the levy; ensuring payment and collection of the levy; utilisation of the levy for infrastructure development. The Regulations concern: imposition of tea levy in case of export and import of tea; exemption from the levy; time of payment; collector of the levy; declaration of export and import; authorisation and permit to import and export tea; utilisation of the collected levy for infrastructure development within the tea catchment areas; offences.
