Ministerial Decree No. 365 regarding validation of the Regulation on Department of Ecology and Nature Management subordinated to the Ministry of Ecology and Emergencies.

The Regulation consists of 7 Chapters. The Department is an autonomous sub-division of the Ministry in the sphere of environmental protection and rational nature management. The main purposes and tasks of the Department are: 1) elaboration of state policy in the field of nature management, rational use of natural resources and ensuring ecological safety of the state; 2) organization of state ecological control over environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, observance of environmental legislation by legal and natural persons, organization of registration and valuation of the state of natural resources and control over keeping state cadastre of natural resources. 3) informing state executive bodies, economic entities and population of the factual and expected qualitative changes of environment and their causes for the purpose of prevention and reduction of damage of the possible unfavourable conditions of natural and anthropogenic impact.
